ACC Physiotherapy Subsidy Update (December 2011)
ACC have advised that all Physiotherapy subsidies are increasing from 15 December 2011.
This update will set the subsidy for all Physiotherapy subsidies to the correct amount provided by ACC with an effective date of 15th December 2011.
This release does not require a Technician to run. If you do choose to use a Technician, Medtech recommends that all Medtech upgrades and database back-up and restore processes are performed by a Medtech Certified Technician or your Practice Technician.
This update MUST be run on the Medtech32 Server. Users can remain logged in to Medtech while this update is being run, however you must log out of the Medtech32 application and then log in again to see the changes.

Version 19.14 Build 3408 – Patch Update (November 2011)
This update will resolve a number of issues for all users on Version 19.12 Build 3359.
Note: GP2GP Pilot sites running Version 19.11 should NOT run this update. Medtech will be making a separate update for these Practices available next week.
As two of the resolved issues have a potential patient safety impact we strongly recommend that you run this update as soon as possible – they are:
1. Patient File Transfer – resolving the “gobblegook” message issue in the patient inbox
2. Prescribing Assistant (Dabigatran) – appending of classifications

This update is for those practices that are on Version 19.12 Build 3352 and Build 3354.

Northland EVP Meningococcal C Update (October 2011)
This update will provide the ability for a practice to administer the Meningococcal C vaccination for a Patient and allow you to claim and message the Meningococcal C vaccine electronically to Sector Services (HealthPAC) and the NIR.
The Meningococcal C vaccine will be messaged in accordance with Emergency Vaccine Program sending rules initiated by the Ministry of Health and NIR.
This release does not require a Technician to run, however Medtech recommends that all Medtech upgrades are performed by a Medtech Certified Technician or your Practice Technician.
This update MUST be run on the Medtech32 Server. Users can remain logged in to Medtech while this update is being run, however you must log out of the Medtech32 application and then log in again to see the changes.

This update is for those practices that are on Version 19.11 Build 3260 or Build 3270.

V19.11 - HbA1C Laboratory Data Format Change - Quick Guide
Please ensure you are aware of all Installation Pre-Requisites before commencing the installation. Please refer to the Update Notification and/or Installation Instructions for details.
This update requires a full Backup and Restore process to be completed before installation of the update.
Practices upgrading over the weekend should note that Upgrade Support will be available 9.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday 1st October and Sunday 2nd October on 0800 2 633 832 – Option 1 or email nzsupport@medtechglobal.com. The Pager phone service (026 116 986) will also be available.
Key Clinical Information for Version 19.12 and 19.11 Build 3347 Updates
HbA1c % to mmol Utility
The HbA1C % to mmol Utility must be run AFTER the installation of your update. This update will prepare your HbA1c and Diabetes Screening Terms, Get Checked II Advanced Form, Inbox Screening Mapping and Data for the Data Format Change from % to mmol. Please refer to the documentation in the Release Notes and the HbA1c Quick Guide for further details and instructions.
If you DO NOT run the HbA1c % to mmol Utility
If you do not run the HbA1c % to mmol Utility the following will occur:
- You will NOT see any changes in any screens.
- Your Diabetes Screening Term and Get Checked II Advanced Form will still look for % value for HbA1c.
- Your existing HbA1c Screening Term will not be updated to receive the new mmol/mol lab result.
- When the labs stop sending HbA1c as a % then your current HbA1c Screening Term will stop being populated from your lab results. Therefore any Screening Term and Advanced Form will not auto populate.
- If you have added your own new Screening Term or Measurement to capture mmol/mol then this will still be populated, however you cannot use this value in the current Diabetes Screening Term or Get Checked II Advanced Form.
Dabigatran Prescribing Assistant – Version 19.12 Build 3347 only
Due to significant Patient safety concerns, a new Prescribing Assistant has been implemented in Medtech32 in association with Pharmac.
The Prescribing Assistant will assist a Prescriber by providing Guidelines at the time of prescribing higher risk medications for a Patient. The Prescribing Assistant will be used only in conjunction with confirming and validating the Risk Factors for the medication ‘Dabigatran’ in this Release.
Creatinine Clearance Calculator Setup in Medtech32 (September 2011)
In Medtech32 the Medical Calculator allows you to calculate patients Creatinine Clearance.
To ensure you get an accurate result from your Creatinine Clearance Calculator you must ensure that it is setup correctly in Medtech32. To help you check and ensure your setup is correct for the Creatinine Clearance Calculator, a guide has been provided to ensure your practice is setup correctly in Medtech32.

Advanced Forms License Renewal Update (September 2011)
This update renews the Advanced Forms expiry date to 30 September 2012 in the Medtech32 registration screen.
Important Note: This update does not need to be run if you are running or have run the Version 19.12 or 19.11 Build 3347 Updates. This update can be run by any practice on Version 18.0 or above.

Northland Inbox Screening Mapping Utility (September 2011)
This Inbox Mapping Utility should only be installed by Medtech32 practices in the Northland District Health Board region and your practice MUST be on Medtech32 Version 19.0 or a later version. Please refer to the instructions provided by your PHO for the installation and use of this update.

Inbox Performance Update (August 2011)
A number of sites have advised that after installing Version 19.10 they experienced performance issues with their Inbox, particularly when accessing and viewing scanned documents. Medtech have identified the cause of the issue and this update will resolve it by re-applying the necessary Indexes on the Blob Database Tables where required.

ACC have advised that all Accident and Medical subsidies are increasing from 1 August 2011.
This update will set the subsidy for all Accident and Medical Services to the correct amount provided by ACC with an effective date of 1st August 2011.

Immunisation Subsidy Increase Update (July 2011)
Further to our notification earlier this week that the Ministry of Health has just advised us that all immunisation subsidies increased from 1 July 2011, the new Immunisation Subsidy Increase update is now available for installation.
This update will increase the subsidy for all vaccines to $21.99 with an effective date of 1st July 2011.
ProClaim (HealthPAC) have confirmed that any immunisation claims they have received and processed from 1st July, will be paid with the new increased amount. Therefore there is no requirement to resubmit your claims after running this upgrade.
This release does not require a Technician to run. If you do choose to use a Technician, Medtech recommends that all Medtech upgrades and database back-up and restore processes are performed by a Medtech Certified Technician or your Practice Technician.

Version 19.10 Build 3255 - 2011 Immunisation Schedule Update
Revised Update (July 2011)
The Version 19.10 Build 3255 Update, including all 2011 Immunisation Schedule Update is now available for all Practices to install.
The Version 19.10 Build 3255 update also includes other features and enhancements that have been released to practices within the last month. These items are detailed in the full Release Notes.
Further to our notification yesterday regarding the issue with the Flu65+ Immunisations:
If you have already run the Version 19.10 Immunisation Update, this revised update will resolve the Flu65+ issue. If you haven't already run the Version 19.10 Immunisation update, this revised update will completely install the 2011 Immunisation Schedule changes.

Version 19.9 Build 3175 Update (April 2011)
This update resolves an issue of repeat prescriptions not using the new $3 Co-Payment implementation in Version 19.9 (Build 3168) to determine the GMS Category when printing.
For practices who have already installed the Version 19.9 Build 3168 update
If your practice has already installed the Version 19.9 Build 3168 update, please download and install the Version 19.9 Build 3175 update.
For practices who have not yet installed the previous Version 19.9 Build 3168 update
If your practice has not yet installed the Version 19.9 Build 3168 update, please ensure that both the Version 19.9 Build 3168 and Version 19.9 Build 3175 update are downloaded and installed on your practice system at the same time, to avoid any unnecessary downtime at a later date.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This update MUST be run on the Medtech32 Server and ALL users must be logged out of Medtech32 when the update is being run. A Interbase backup and restore is NOT required if you are just installing the V19.9 Build 3175 Update.

Version 19.9 Build 3168 Update (April 2011)
This update provides practices with a number of changes to the Medtech32 application and combines all Medtech32 updates from Version 19.5 through to Version 19.9.
You MUST complete an Interbase Backup and Restore on ALL Medtech databases PRIOR TO the installation of the Medtech32 Version 19.9 Build 3168 Update.
Please ensure that the Restore process is completed for Interbase after the backup process. The Restore is crucial to ensuring data integrity.
It is also highly recommended that you ensure that you have a current backup of your Medtech32 directory and databases before upgrade.
Please ensure that you do not attempt to run this upgrade if your practice is required to be up and running in a short amount of time.
This update MUST be run on the Medtech32 Server and ALL users must be logged out of Medtech32 when the update is being run.

MeNZB/ACC Subsidy & Clinical Event Export Utility Update (March 2011)
This update provides practices with the following changes:

Version 19.7 Build 3128 Beating the Blues Update
The National Beating the Blues project via ManageMyHealth is a key Primary Mental Health Care Initiative. The Beating the Blues programme will be made available to GP's for treatment of those patients with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety.
This update provides for the addition of two new menu items within Medtech32 for the Beating the Blues initiative.
This update should only be run by those practices that are taking part in this programme.

Consultation Dates for Konnect SureMed Update (February 2011)
A number of practices have identified that the Consultation Dates in the Konnect SureMed PMAR form are not appearing.It is recommended that every practice that uses the Konnect SureMed PMAR form installs this update as soon as possible.
This update MUST be run on the Server computer and can be run whilst users are logged into Medtech. After running this update, please ensure all users log out and log back in before completing any SureMed requests.

This update resolves an issue with the validation of Healthlink published web forms when trying to open them. Please note that this patch is specific to Healthlink forms and should be run in addition to the Web Form Validation Update January 2011, which rectifies the same validation error but with other type web forms.

CPI Export and GMS Claims Update (December 2010)
This update contains the following items:
1. Resolution for Clinical Event Export - Smoking Indicators - calculation of the screening term data where multiple smoking screening terms have been used.
2. Resolution for Finalised GMS Claim Totals - will correctly calculate the GMS Claim totals for all claims affected, and will update all finalised claim transaction amounts for both paid and unpaid claims.

This update is a cumulative patch and includes all changes from Version 19.2 Build 2975 onwards.

Version 19.4 Build 2990 (October 2010)
This update contains the following items:
1. 1st October 2010 Subsidy Adjustments
2. Konnect Suremed Inbox Subject Heading Resolution
3. Update to the Clinical Event Export Utility for Mapping Smoking Terms
Your practice MUST be running Version 19.2 Build 2975 or above of Medtech32.
Please note that this update may take considerably longer to install compared to other Medtech32 updates due to the large volume of SQL's being run on the database. Those practices with a large number of financial transactions in the database will be most affected by this.

Subsidy Adjustment Update(October 2010)
This will ensure the following:
1. All subsidy codes and rates are correct.
2. Change to ACC flat rates and hourly rates.
3. Change any claims both in the claims preview and finalised claims from the old GST rate to the new GST rate that were invoiced from 1st October 2010 (i.e. where invoices where entered from 1st October prior to the Medtech32 GST updates being applied). This will assist those practices who have yet to upgrade their systems with the new subsidy GST rates, and as part of this update, all finalised and un-finalised claims will have the new GST rate applied.
Please note that this update may take considerably longer to install compared to other Medtech32 updates due to the large volume of SQL's being run on the database. Those practices with a large number of financial transactions in the database will be most affected by this.
Important Note: If running this update whilst users are logged into the database, you must ensure that no users are in the Invoicing/Accounts modules, and also be aware that running this update whilst users are logged into the application may cause system performance to slow down whilst the update is being run.

This update corrects the issue where the GST amount was calculated incorrectly within the ProCare Fee Amounts with new GST Rate September 2010 update.

Version 19.0 - Konnect SureMed Form Update (August 2010)
We have identified a problem related to the Medtech32 Version 19.0 upgrade that stops consultation dates from pre-populating onto the SureMed insurance form. This update will resolve the issue. It is important that you run this update before submitting further Konnect SureMed Insurance forms.

Download the following instructions to alter the patient fee for PHO Funded patients over the age of 65.
CLAIMING: Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Osteopaths, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Podiatrists
