Practices queuing as interest in New Zealand e-Prescribing update grows

The Medtech rollout of the New Zealand ePrescription Service (NZePS) continues to gain pace. To date, more than 30 Medtech practices have expressed interest in the service with Ministry of Health since June. Patient portal uptake reaches significant 75,000 milestone

Health Minister Jonathan Coleman says there has been a significant increase in the number of patient portal users. “It is great to see patients and practices responding positively to the awareness campaign we launched in April,” says Dr Coleman. “The number of patients using patient portals has nearly doubled and we expect it to surpass 100,000 before the end of the year.”
