Speciality Registries

Medtech's MD Analyze has invented a technique for codifying clinical concepts, which contribute to a patient's outcome such that a single database can be used for every medical specialty, and every patient's journey.

Medtech's MD Analyze has invented a technique for codifying clinical concepts which contribute to a patient's outcome such that a single database can be used for every medical specialty, and every patient's journey. This "code set" provides the ability for MD Analyze to deliver a wide range of specialty clinical registries that may be used for performance audits, training, research, clinical trials, device use and recall, knowledge management, peer review, quality and safety audits and outcomes analysis.

The MD Analyze code set for a registry project maps data into the specialty clinical concepts for:

  • Patient demographics and provider information
  • Co-morbidities and past history
  • Diagnoses including specific anatomy, pathology and clinical presentation
  • Treatment events including therapeutic and non-invasive procedures as well as admission based procedures and operations
  • Products or devices that may need to be tracked as part of treatment
  • Complications and adverse events
  • Clinical and socio-economic outcomes - both short term and long term longitudinal records

MD Analyze's patented search engine analyzes concepts against the purpose of the registry, producing reports and data export output. Specialty code sets for new clinical registry projects can be developed within 2-4 weeks and implemented immediately. Codes can also be customised locally as new requirements emerge for data collection or analysis.
