PBS Integration Project

In consultation with General Practice Victoria (GPV) and the Department of health and ageing (DOHA), Medtech has added the PBS Close the Gap (CTG) co- payment measure to Medtech32 release 8.1.

This will help to improve access to PBS medicine through co-payment relief, by providing assistance to eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) patients.

Flagging Eligible Patients: A new flag has been incorporated into the patient registration screen, which will indicate which eligible ATSI patients have been registered for CTG PBS Co-payment relief.

Prescription Annotations: Once a patient has been registered for CTG PBS Co-payment relief, their prescription will automatically annotate a CTG Code on it, allowing patients to purchase medicines at rebated rates.
